Tag is a medium sized black Labrador cross of around eight years old.

Tag had the unfortunate membership to the “white ear tag” club of dogs in the Botosani public shelter in Romania. These are dogs that have been in the shelter for six painfully long years. We are doing our best to free all the white ear tag dogs but it’s going to take some time because each one takes a little time to rehabilitate before we can make room for the next one.

Tag is not as damaged as many of the white ear tag dogs. He is not terrified of humans, he’s just not very relaxed around them but is improving a little each and every day. Tag gets on great with other dogs and a confident resident dog in his forever home would help him a lot. Tag will allow himself to be stroked but won’t currently seek out fuss and attention, this will come in time. Tag has taken to lead training fairly well, though can have an opinion on which direction he’d like to walk and will form a minor protest when made to walk any other way… again, he will learn to be better at this in time!

Though not affectionate towards humans as yet, Tag is an amiable boy who was a real gentleman when bathed and groomed on arrival. He needs a patient and understanding adopter who will not expect too much from him too soon but who will take pride in watching him develop and grow in confidence.

Tag fostered in Camberley, Surrey.
