Rex is a four to five year old medium sized crossbreed.

Rex was brought to the UK (not by safe rescue) as a puppy and adopted in 2017. He lived happily there until April of last year when his elderly adopters poor health meant that they could no longer look after him. We were then asked to take Rex in. Rex was adopted a few weeks later but has now been returned to our care because his reactivity on lead out on walks was more than his adopters could cope with.

Rex is a lovely boy who has settled well into his multi dog foster home. He has instigated play with other dogs and seems happy to be around them. His original adopters informed us that he isn’t good with cats or small animals.

Rex is fine with visitors to the house in his foster home but previous adopters informed us that he is protective at times and not keen on visitors so may need to be put away when people come round.

Rex loves his walks, he will pull initially as he’s so excited to be out but soon settles down and walks well, though will pull if he sees a rabbit or similar. He is not dog reactive when on walks with his fosterers and responds well to good control and firm handling. He travels well in a car and can be left for periods of time at home alone with no issues.

Rex will need an experienced adopter who has had shepherd/protective breeds previously and dealt with their common behaviours. He is a very affectionate and loving dog to his family but needs firm guidance and boundaries.

Rex fostered Norwich Norfolk.

If you are interested please message or call between 9am to 5pm Mon – Fri or 9am to 4pm Sat. Tel 07788251197 / 07899844524.

Our adoption fee is £300, they are vaccinated, microchipped and neutered (unless the dog is too young to be neutered).

PLEASE NOTE IT IS SAFE RESCUE POLICY THAT ALL DOGS ADOPTED FROM US MUST WEAR A SLIP LEAD TO BE WALKED FOR THE DURATION OF THEIR LIVES. TOO MANY DOGS ARE LOST FROM SLIPPING OUT OF COLLARS AND HARNESSES AND MANY OF OUR DOGS ARE TIMID DUE TO PAST ILL TREATMENT AND LIKELY TO PANIC WHILST OUT AND ABOUT. IT IS ABSOLUTELY OK TO USE THESE THINGS ADDITIONALLY TO SLIP LEADS BUT NOT INSTEAD OF. WE ALSO REQUEST THAT EXTENDABLE RETRACTABLE LEADS ARE NEVER USED ON OUR DOGS. IF YOU ARE OPPOSED TO SLIP LEADS PLEASE DO NOT ENQUIRE ABOUT OUR DOGS AS THIS IS NOT NEGOTIABLE. THANK YOU FOR UNDERSTANDING.
