Melvin Blag is an eight month old medium sized crossbreed pup.

Let us introduce you to our quirky little pup Melvin. Melvin arrived into our care a few weeks ago as a scared, bitey little ball of fear. In the weeks that he’s been in his foster home a cheeky, comical little character has emerged but he’s still our little oddball!

Melvin plays beautifully with the other youngsters in his foster home and will need at least one other confident dog in situ when he moves into his forever home. Melvin is no longer so afraid that he snaps but he’s still a bit jumpy and can be scared of the strangest things! On walks he is still very anxious but he will walk nicely for the majority of the time. Initially he was scared of absolutely everything when out but now he’s scared of…. puddles mostly! Melvin has only walked in the woods hear his foster home and it maybe a while before he’s ready to confront traffic or any level of pedestrians passing by but he will get there in time as he does continue to get a little better on every walk…… puddles are a big no no though!

At home Melvin Blag is cheeky and mischievous for the most part like any pup should be, he will still jump at loud noises. He will follow the humans around and always be close by but is yet to understand human affection and will not ask for a fuss…… though he does think it’s amusing to swing off the bottom of your dressing gown! If he’s sitting on the sofa and you sit next to him he no longer moves away if you stroke him but he doesn’t really “get it” either.

Melvin will need an adopter with patience and a sense of humour who appreciates quirky dogs like we do. They will need to understand his nerves and not expect too much too soon but instead enjoy the journey of watching his progression.

Fences and gates must be 5ft min & secure.

Melvin fostered Norwich Norfolk.

If you are interested please message or call between 9am to 5pm Mon – Fri or 9am to 4pm Sat. Tel 07788251197 / 07899844524.

Our adoption fee is £300, they are vaccinated, microchipped and neutered (unless the dog is too young to be neutered).

PLEASE NOTE IT IS SAFE RESCUE POLICY THAT ALL DOGS ADOPTED FROM US MUST WEAR A SLIP LEAD TO BE WALKED FOR THE DURATION OF THEIR LIVES. TOO MANY DOGS ARE LOST FROM SLIPPING OUT OF COLLARS AND HARNESSES AND MANY OF OUR DOGS ARE TIMID DUE TO PAST ILL TREATMENT AND LIKELY TO PANIC WHILST OUT AND ABOUT. IT IS ABSOLUTELY OK TO USE THESE THINGS ADDITIONALLY TO SLIP LEADS BUT NOT INSTEAD OF. WE ALSO REQUEST THAT EXTENDABLE RETRACTABLE LEADS ARE NEVER USED ON OUR DOGS. IF YOU ARE OPPOSED TO SLIP LEADS PLEASE DO NOT ENQUIRE ABOUT OUR DOGS AS THIS IS NOT NEGOTIABLE. THANK YOU FOR UNDERSTANDING.
