Lola is a three year old medium/large crossbreed.
Lola came to us from the Botosani public shelter in Romania where she had been hiding in the back of a crate for a very long time. She came to us extremely shut down and underweight. We soon realised that she has very little or no ability to see. With much patience over the last three weeks she has moved out of the create, discovered the house and the great outdoors. She now loves her walks and is good on the lead with encouragement although nervous when she meets people and other dogs on a walk. She likes affection but doesn’t come looking for it yet.She has been living happily with another dog and a cat. She will need further help and guidance to give her the best life possible and would benefit from a quiet experienced home.
Public shelters are terrifying and stressful places for any dog, but for one who has no sight the fear is unimaginable. Nobody noticed she was blind because many scared dogs hide at the back of the crates for months and years and it’s sadly something seen in every single pen in every shelter in Romania. Lola must have lived in a state of utmost terror for so long and it’s astounding how far she has come in such a short time.
Lola fostered Camberley Surrey.
Our adoption fee is £270, they are vaccinated, microchipped and neutered (unless the dog is too young to be neutered).
