Flicker is an eleven year old Staffordshire bull terrier, she is fairly small for her breed.
We offered to help Flicker after seeing her on a pound puller page on Facebook. For those not in the know this means she had been handed in as a stray seven days before but not been claimed. If the pound then gets full it can happen that dogs have to be put to sleep unless a rescue takes them. We were told that Flicker has a microchip which gave us the information of her name and age and that she has been spayed. It also gave details of her owners but when contacted they said they hadn’t owned her for two years and had no idea who was supposed to be response for her now! This is sadly a common fate for this breed and they are statistically passed around and abandoned all too often.
Flicker is looking for her final home for her final years where she’s not under threat of being discarded yet again. Her fosterer says…
She is gorgeous. She will need to be only dog or with a super chilled submissive dog as she’s had a few growls at Barney but because he ignores her it doesn’t escalate. She is fully house trained, absolutely loves kids, sits, gives paw, cuddles up and snores on your lap. She does pull on the lead but loves her walks and is still very active. She loves playing fetch with the ball or kong. She is so easy to foster!!!
They are vaccinated, microchipped and neutered (unless they are too young). If you are interested please message or call between 9am and 6pm
